Write Protect
Activating 'Write Protect' on a flash device ensures that the contents of the entire stick or card can no longer be deleted. It is no longer possible to perform write actions on the media. Files can no longer be modified or deleted. Even formatting card or stick is no longer possible. The Write Protect function for USB sticks is supported by the Intelligent 9 USB Gold serie. Producing Write Protected SD memory cards is possible with the Intelligent 9 SD/microSD Gold serie. Special U-Reach USB sticks are required to use the Write Protect function. These media come in various models and sizes.

CD-Rom Partition
With the CD-Rom function it is possible to place a read-only CD-Rom partition on a USB flash device. This part of the USB flash drive can no longer be erased and will be recognized by a computer as a CD-ROM with Auto-Run and Auto-Play functions. It is possible to allocate all or part of the USB flash drive to a CD-ROM partition. The CD-ROM Partition function for USB sticks is only supported by the Intelligent 9 USB Write Protect serie. U-Reach USB sticks and the WP220 "USB Source Creator" are required to use the CD-Rom function. U-Reach USB sticks come in various models and sizes.

WP220 'USB Source Creator'
To create a CD-ROM master USB stick, the U-Reach WP220 'USB Source Creator' is required. Place a regular stick in the source slot. The WP220 then turns this into a "master" stick by making a copy to a special U-Reach USB stick. This master can be used for replication in the Intelligent 9 USB Write Protect serie.
